All About Appraisal Fees
In the ValuedBASIC package, you can allow clients to pay for their order right after they submit the order, and you can tie order prices to the appraisal format (or any other dropdown list) that the clients choose. Set this up in the admin under Site Settings > Data Fields > Payment Settings.
In the ValuedPRO or ValuedAMC package, you also have the option to let clients pay directly after submitting the order as above, but there are more fee options as well. There are up to four fee fields that can be enabled. Listed below are the four field names (not the field labels) which you can manage in the admin under Site Settings > Data Fields > Field Labels & Permissions:
quotedfee
This is the appraisal fee for the order itself. If you have fee splits and/or a second appraiser enabled, their fees will be calculated based on this fee.
servicecharge
If enabled, this is a fee charged on top of the appraisal fee above. If you have fee splits and/or a second appraiser enabled, this service charge fee is not touched by either of those.
feesplit
If enabled, this is the percentage or dollar amount which the appraiser will get out of the quotedfee.
appraiser2fee
If enabled, this dollar amount will be deducted from the quotedfee before the feesplit percentage (or dollar amount) is applied.
You can set a default service charge on a per-client basis, and a default fee split percentage (or dollar amount) on a per-appraiser basis. And then you can customize each order with a different value in each of these four fields.
When invoices are created for the client, the system will list the quotedfee and the servicecharge separately, unless you set the site option to have them appear to be part of the overall appraisal fee.
