Appraiser & AMC Web Software Optional Items
Our appraiser web software packages work great out of the box (and include hosting), but you may want or need some of the options listed below. These are not included in the regular monthly fee. Most of our clients get the first one, domain name.

Domain Name (i.e. yourwebsite.com)
Your domain name is the URL of your website, for example YourWebsitesName.com
1) In order for you to own your website's domain name, register it yourself. We recommend Moniker.com 
or Godaddy.com . They charge around $10/year and are solid companies. They will offer a lot of other services in addition to domain name registration. Don't buy hosting or email services from them, just the domain name and maybe privacy services, if you want to reduce some spam. Avoid 1and1.com and NetworkSolutions.com.
2) If we register the domain name for you, we charge $25/year per name, non-refundable, payment required before registration. And if you ever want the domain transferred to your own name, we charge $75/hr for however long it takes (usually an hour).
3) You can also use the web software with no domain name. In that case we'll assign your website an "IP address" which is a bunch of numbers that looks like http://72.124.28.42/~appraiser. You can always add a domain name later. The numbers are fine if you will only be using the order tracking features internally, and not have a public website.
How to choose a good domain name.
Clients Pay Online / Payment Processing
In order for clients/lenders/borrowers to pay online, you'll need to have one of three supported online payment processors. These third party services charge their own fees.
1) Authorize.net is the best choice for tight integration with the website and a professional look for your clients because clients stay within your website for the entire payment process. They charge from 2.5% to 3% per transaction, depending on the type of card and the strength of your anti-fraud settings, plus $20/month. If you sign up for this, we will enroll you in our rebate program, which could bring our monthly fees down to nothing!
2) PayPal takes around a 3% cut of each transaction. This is the fastest option to set up, but is not tightly integrated with the website.
3) Mal's e-Commerce allows you to use an existing merchant account. It comes with a free version and a $96/year version. If you already have a merchant account, this option would allow you to keep it, but it's not tightly integrated with the website.
In order to use Authorize.net, you need a $125/year SSL security certificate and dedicated IP, which will be provided FREE if you sign up for Authorize.net through Valued Websites. More info on payment processing.
Non-Package Features (i.e. Custom Programming)
Almost any feature you can think of can be added to our web software packages. If it's likely to be useful to some of our other clients, then it won't cost extra unless you need it soon. If it's a feature unique to you're business, or you're unwilling to wait possibly several months or more, our $75/hr rate will apply. More info on custom programming.
Custom Visual Design (Overall Look)
In order to keep prices low, Valued Websites packages come with a range of included visual design choices (see gallery) for the public website. If you don't like any of our included templates, more options for an additional fee:
- 3rd PARTY TEMPLATE
For a different look that doesn't cost much extra, get a third-party website template for free here, or for around $75 from TemplateMonster.com or any other template seller. - CUSTOM DESIGN
For a look that perfectly matches your business and is unique, we can provide a custom visual design for our $75/hr rate (usually runs in the range of $400 to $600). Or hire your own third party designer.
Any 3rd party or custom template will incur a $75/hr fee to integrate it into our software. This usually ends up being between $75 and $150 unless your design is uncommonly complicated. More info on custom designs.
Non-branded System
The footer area and some other parts of the web software make mention of Valued Websites. The fee for removing all these references is $75/year. We charge this because removal of references to our company loses us potential new clients.
More Hard Drive Space
Hard drive space is used to store public website and appraiser files, email that hasn't been read yet (if we handle your email), and client reports if you're not using the ValuedSafe.
ValuedBASIC comes with 100 megabytes of hard drive space, and ValuedPRO and ValuedAMC come with 500 megabytes of space. This is typically enough for a busy office of three appraisers. Roughly speaking, once your website is processing more than 500 orders per year, it might be time to upgrade to more disk space (or enable the ValuedSafe).
Upgrade to UNLIMITED disk space for an extra $197 per year. This yearly fee is non-refundable, and is due in full at the start of the upgrade. Upgrades or the ValuedSafe can be enabled at any time.
Upgraded Hosting
Busy sites sometimes require upgraded hosting, which is a little different from the unlimited disk space upgrade. Hosting upgrades are warranted if there is too much server downtime for your taste or if you think your site is too slow.
Extra Set-Up or Data Entry Time
You get a half hour of included set-up time. We'll use this time for any set-up work (data importing, content formatting, or changing colors or pictures) before we charge you extra.
The set-up clock starts ticking when your site draft is ready for content entry. After the included time, set-up activities will be charged at $75/hr.
Set-up is different from training and support, which is unlimited. Training and support includes such things as learning how to use your web software, and troubleshooting.
Custom Logo
If you already have a logo, upload it yourself within the admin or send it to us to upload for you. Or we can create a basic text-only logo (point for samples) for $25.
More "branded" logos are available from third parties for anywhere from $100 to $1000. 99designs.com provides logos for $99, or run a "contest" and have designers bid on a logo design starting at $225. The more expensive ones may come with a whole business identity: envelopes, business cards, and letterhead.
Online Marketing and Advanced SEO
In competitive markets, a little extra online marketing and search engine work can help your website capture more leads. More online marketing info.
ValuedSafe Secure File Storage
Archive appraisal reports and associated files using the ValuedSafe file storage system. Completely integrated with your website. Uses the same infrastructure as banks and hospitals so you know your data is secure and safe. Enable from within your website at any time, and it costs just $3/month per gigabyte of storage.
ValuedSafe is more secure and more highly backed-up than the unlimited hard drive space option (above).
List Properties for Sale or Rent
Properties Module ($97/yr) provides a full-featured property listing solution integrated with your appraiser website. Unlimited agents and listings. Multiple pictures, virtual tour link, flyers, and featured listing. Yearly fee due in full when enabling this option.
Content Creation
If you need help with creating content from scratch, our $75/hr rate applies.
Your website's admin system allows you to easily edit your website's content (words and pictures) at any time. If you can use a word processor and browser, you already know all you need to be able to place your content yourself. Or email it to us and we'll take it out of your included set-up time (see Extra Set-Up or Data Entry Time).
