The master admin has access to web marketing features in the Web Marketing menu:
- Request Info Form
- Whitepaper Download
- Landing Pages for PPC
- Social Networking
- Analytics
- Search Engines (SEO)
Request More Information
Capture new and interested leads. Enable this to put a "request more information" type form prominently in the public part of your website. "Set it and forget it". If you do nothing else for your web marketing, enable this feature.
Whitepaper Download
If you have a document of useful information about your industry that you’ve written or gotten from a third party source, upload it here. Give it away for free as a way to capture leads. A good whitepaper will be just a few pages and in PDF format. Topics and writing style should excite a prospect to contact you.
Landing Pages for PPC
If you have a pay-per-click (PPC) campaign using Google’s Adwords, create custom landing pages that include a modal (popup) box requesting the site visitor’s contact info. This is more effective at capturing leads than just dumping a visitor on your site’s home page.
Social Networking
If you have accounts with one or more social networking websites, add them here. Linkedin is usually the best choice if you’re going to do just one of them because it’s kind of a "set it and forget it" social network. The other ones require ongoing upkeep.
Analytics
Google provides a free analytics package that can be installed on your website. Sign up for a free account here
. You will then be given some Javascript code to enter into the box in your website.
It’s beyond the scope of this tutorial to go into all the things that can and should be done with Analytics, but a quick Google search for "how to use analytics" will yield hundreds of in depth tutorials. In general, one would use it to measure visitors and site traffic sources.
Search Engines (SEO)
Article on writing your website’s content with SEO in mind.
