WHAT IT LOOKS LIKE
Automated notification emails sent by the website are not being received.
WHY IT HAPPENS
Could be due to a wide variety of factors.
THINGS TO CHECK
1. Are the automated email(s) in question enabled? Look within Site Settings > Email Messages. Also look under Invoices & Reports > Emails Sent to be sure the website has actually tried to send them.
2. Can the email recipient get email besides the notifications? If yes, check your website at www.yourwebsite.com. If the site is down, see here — you’ll just need to wait a bit.
3. Is the email going into the recipient’s junk folder? If yes, the email software should be set to not do that, perhaps by adding your domain name to a white list, or to the recipient’s address book.
4. Has the email recipient recently installed new software or upgraded existing software, in particular firewall or email software? If yes, check the software’s configuration settings to see if it might be interfering with receipt of certain email such as the notifications.
5. Be sure the "from" address (your address) in the automated emails is coming from the same domain as your website. If you’re using a Gmail or other 3rd party email address as the "from" address, ask us to create a forwarder for you.
6. Avoid the use of "spam words" in the email subject or content such as free, guarantee, promotion, and website (here’s 
a long list of them).
7. Don’t begin emails with Dear ____, but instead use Hi or just dispense with the greeting. Also, if you can include the first and last name of the recipient in the body of the email, that helps a lot.
8. If this is happening just with the HTML version of the email that gets sent when you assign an order to an appraiser, try switching to the text version.
